Join us for the kickoff of our newly revamped concert series partnership with Summit Brewing Company: Unfiltered Fridays featuring NoVox and a special Unfiltered Fassbier!
Unfiltered Fridays will take place on the first Friday of each month in the Summit Brewing Ratskeller, featuring an instrumental concert from Minnesota-local artists alongside the release of Summit's Fass (unfiltered) keg. JaZzen kicks off this new concert series on Friday, January 7th!
About the artist:
JazZen performs contemporary jazz, voiced through the organic tonalities of Native American style flutes (Bobb Fantauzzo) and the swirling undercurrents of electric cello (Aaron Kerr). Whether playing a jazz standard, original composition or unpremeditated music, JazZen's unique sound integrates organic melodicism with free-wheeling improvisation.
In addition to performing in intimate spaces (coffee houses, clubs, libraries and art galleries) Bobb and Aaron have performed together at The Twin Cities Jazz Festival, The Midwest Music Fest, and The International Native American Flute Association conventions. They are collectively on numerous recordings, including their own duo and trio albums, Explorations and Bounce Off the Moon.
